I find it odd that in our culture, people eagerly tune in to watch fictional violence as entertainment, yet we often spend so little time reflecting on the very real suffering of our Savior.

Palm Sunday is just around the corner. Our church will be lively and full of energy, just as it was on that first Palm Sunday.

You’ve probably heard the phrase: “All that and a bag of chips.” It describes someone who thinks very highly of themselves -- someone who wants to be noticed, admired, and applauded.

Turn on the news today and you will see images of war -- soldiers preparing for battle, missiles being launched, scenes of devastating destruction. We all understand that war is serious business.

If you’ve ever driven past a pasture and seen a cow just standing there… staring… slowly chewing… you might wonder what in the world is going on behind those big brown eyes.
